I fought for many years what was so natural.
I have always been trying to prove something, always trying to prove I’m good enough, that I’m worthy of love.
I had the Holy Spirit within me my entire life but I didn’t always know that’s what it was.
I was focused on being good enough in my own power and it was never enough.
Being a mother of two very young ones, there was no escape. Pouring a glass of wine was my escape, physically I was still there but had my mind turned off a little bit.
I was powerless over alcohol.
Over time God took away the desire to drink, at times the desire comes back and I’m honest and open about it.
Once He took it away from me everything changed.
I have now developed a relationship with Christ. It’s not just a religion to me anymore.
There is so much freedom in obedience.
Life can be so fun living in obedience to Christ.
God made me for a purpose, a unique purpose, and if I don’t do it no one else is going to do it.
It’s not about accomplishments it’s about walking in His way.
We can only serve on master. I think more of my choices now because I am a daughter of the King and what I am doing in this moment is it bringing me closer to the person God is calling me to be or is it taking me further away.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
