In this episode, Rachel Swanson shares her journey from a depressed, young mom of 3 to a vibrant author and speaker, following God in the everyday moments of life.
Rachel Swanson is a dental hygienist turned author, speaker, and certified life coach. Her book, Big and Little Coloring Devotional, was birthed by her own struggle as a busy mama to three children under two. It’s available exclusively at LifeWay Christian stores now, with an official release set for October 1, 2017. Her writing is featured on multiple websites worldwide reaching millions. A rising inspirational speaker, Rachel is quickly becoming a voice of trust within the Christian community. She’s been married ten years to her husband who loves her despite her love for coffee and often impulsive nature. They rear their tribe of identical twin boys and (nineteen months later) their baby girl … and a Weimaraner (dog) who thinks she’s human.
I was struck by the closeness and nearness that I felt to Him in the moment God really does love me.
I am significant and beautiful in His eyes.
As I became more and more aware of God and His presence in my life and believed that He was really interactive with me, it just changed my way of looking at life.
God gives us these love notes.
I had put God in a box and thought He was only active when I was reading my bible.
God is always present and active in our lives.
I had all these walls and barriers because of my depressed state and didn’t think I could let God go there.
God loves me despite my mistakes.
Listening to the Holy Spirit is when your soul comes alive.
