James Barnett tells the story of how he came to be in leadership at DaySpring and what it is like to run a Christian business in today’s world.
James Barnett is president of DaySpring, headquartered in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He joined the company in 1981 and has been leading DaySpring since 1994. DaySpring, a subsidiary of Hallmark, is the world’s largest Christian social expression company. He and his wife Marilyn have three grown children and five grandchildren and are active members of Fellowship Bible Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
We are 100% ministry, and we are 100% business. It’s not about balance. It’s about integration.
Our motivation is ministry. Our method is business. Our mission is Jesus.
There are a lot of choices you have to make to fulfill your mission and still fulfill your business responsibilities.
How do you keep doing what God is calling you to do and be obedient to him?
We want to equip people to know and share God’s love in fresh, true, inspiring ways.
While the world is changing, people still need the love of Jesus.
Do what you can in your generation to make Christ known.
